We were informed about the 21st February 2011 earthquake in Christchurch - one of the largest cities whose hospital structures we would like to get acquainted with - whilst we were preparing the 7th AIOP Giovani Study Tour, which will take place in New Zealand at the beginning of this coming November.
On 28 April we thus met the new Ambassador in Rome, His Excellency Mr. Trevor Matheson (the meeting is documented on our website) with whom we confirmed the journey calling at Wellington and Aukland, and committed to an initiative of reconstruction to be carried out under our responsibility. In this regard, indications will be provided to us by the Embassy.
