AIOP mission

AIOP, The Italian Association of Private Hospitals, represents 600 hospitals throughout the national territory with more than 53,000 beds, of which 45,000 are accredited by the National Health Service, 26 rehabilitation centres with 2000 beds of which 1800 are accredited and 41 RSA (residential care homes, elderly homes) with 2800 accredited beds.

Our beliefs, our commitments

We believe in the citizen, the core and target of the healthcare system: the triumph of the democratic values of participation and responsibility in a modern civilisation

We believe in the freedom of choice of doctor and place of care by the citizen-patient, because we respect their personal dignity and their right to the protection of their health

We believe that competition between healthcare institutions within a system of regulated competition guarantees service quality and the rationalisation of financial resources

We believe in the duty to respect the dignity of the citizen-patient by offering a service that prioritises the quality, transparency, efficacy and the humanisation of healthcare provision
